The corridor should be less about moving just cars, and more about designing for people. Balancing our roadways is always a challenge, but we firmly believe that working with you, we can create a safe and comfortable place for everyone.
We know that the historic charm of the corridor and the character that it has created is something that should be cherished.
Louisville Metro has retained the service of Gresham Smith to help update all of the Olmsted Parkways in the Louisville Region. Some of the segments are in the early stages of planning, which will entail a high degree of public engagement, others are moving into final design, where we will be pushing out more focused updates about the timelines and what to expect. Overall, we hope that this website can serve as your one-stop-location to interact with the Gresham Smith design team and get any information you are seeking on our Olmsted Parkways renewal and revitalization efforts.
